yt-dlp under the hood, with a UI that shows size before you commit. Batches use a card carousel with speed on the active job. Pause, resume, reorder, or replace from the queue. If a job stalls, RuForge kills it and marks it failed instead of pretending it is fine.

Chapters on the scrub bar.
Hover a segment to preview the frame.

If the video has chapters in its yt-dlp sidecar, the scrub bar splits into labeled segments. Hover shows a frame from the sprite sheet ffmpeg built after download. Jump with prev/next or Shift+arrow.

SponsorBlock

Skip sponsors on files you already own.
Same categories as the browser extension.

First play fetches segments and writes a sidecar next to the video. After that it works offline. Categories include sponsor, intro, outro, self-promo, and music offtopic. It learns what you actually skip.

honestly i just wanted one app for grabbing videos and watching later without a browser tab graveyardruforge does that

sponsorblock jumped a segment while i was making dinner and i did not expect to care but i did

library stays on disk. no account no sync drama that was kinda the whole point

queued like six baking videos at once and the little card just sat there judging me. worth it

chapters on the scrub bar look stupidly fancy for something i built in my room but ok

replaced a file in library without redownloading the whole channelfelt like cheating

settings sponsorblock tree is nested chaos but at least its all in one place

watched the same pasta tutorial four times. nobody on the internet knows. perfect

auto preview sprites for downloads are nice when im picking what to delete later
